I was travelling solo for a ski trip, and I rented a single king Rambler room from Feb 4 - 10. I arrived early in the day during heavy snow and wind, so I was advised by the front desk to spend the day in the working space building until I was ready to check-into the room. This workspace building was full of comfortable furniture with a coffee and tea station and bathrooms. I was able to spend the day getting caught up on some work while the weather outside was in climate. I had a fabulous time skiing, but unfortunately, I suffered a knee injury on February 6, and I needed to check out early on February 7. I was able to get myself packed up in the morning, and when I called the front' desk to ask for some help getting my car packed up, I reached Grayson, an employee who needs to be recognized for his amazing service! Not only did Grayson clean my car free of snow and ice, but he also carried all my packed belongings from my second-floor room and carefully packed my car. When everything was packed up, he offered to take one last look around the room to make sure I didn't forget anything, and then he offered to get me a hot coffee to go with some yummy toffee as a get-well gift! What an amazing person Grayson is, and he turned a disappointment into such a positive experience! Thank you, Grayson!

Loved the staff, everyone was super helpful and lovely. I really liked the architecture and the design of the whole place with lots of wood, natural finishes and cool outdoor sitting areas by the fire. Onsite restaurant Stella was really good, serving fresh produce and creative, healthy and light dishes. Very well balanced. Loved the location and the little cute town, Truckee, just 5 min away. Great hikes and fantastic lakes around. We had a really good time. Gym was well equipped, the hotel had really good tea and coffee options. Breakfast was delicious.

The guest house looked newly remodeled with state of the art features. It was very cozy. The room and bathroom were small but clean and functional. The bed and bedding were comfortable. There was a fridge and high table with chairs in the little kitchenette area which was supplied with hot water pot, ceramic cups, and artisan tea and coffee. The facility had a sauna and a gym but I did not use those. Staff was very pleasant. It was obvious that they paid attention to detail and wanted guests to feel "at home".

Clean comfortable room for the three of us with two queen beds. Room is nicely set up with a counter and two stools so you can eat/prepare food in room. Used the hot tub all 5 nights we were there. As it was mid-October, we were often the only users and never more than two other people. Also a good sauna is available. WiFi was quite good. Plenty of parking near room. Office staff friendly and helpful. Rooms not cheap. but a well run hotel that caters to hikers and skiers.

Great boutique hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms (and comfy beds!). They do lots of little things to improve your stay, like always having coffee in the lobby, cookies at check-in, you can even rent gear from them. The location is easy access to all the outdoor activities - Lake Tahoe, skiing, ice skating, etc. - and close to shops and restaurants. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
